ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Navy women's rowing program will conclude its fall season of racing with competition at the 2022 Rivanna Romp in Earlysville, Va. on Sunday afternoon. The University of Virginia will host a talented field of collegiate teams on Sunday as the Mids are one of six squads scheduled for action on a 4,000-meter course on the Rivanna Reservoir. Navy has crews slated to race in the Varsity Eights, Varsity Fours and Novice Eights classifications beginning at 12 p.m. against UCF, Duke, Louisville, North Carolina and Virginia. The Rivanna Romp is a head-style time trial competition.
The entire schedule of racing for the Mids on Sunday consists of four entries in the 12-noon Varsity Eights event, two in the 1:30 p.m. Varsity Fours competition and two more in the Novice Eights at 1:45 p.m.
Free parking is available at the Thomas Temple Allan Boathouse on the west bank of the Rivanna Reservoir. The boathouse is the closest point spectators can see the boats along the 4,000-meter course.
