Hills Selected For Blue-Gray Game

ANNAPOLIS, Md.-Navy senior kicker David Hills (Latham, N.Y.) has been selected to the Kelly Tires Blue-Gray Classic, which will be played on Christmas Day in Montgomery, Ala. The game is televised nationally by ABC (12 noon).
Hills was almost perfect on field goals this year, making 15 out of 16 attempts (.938). He finished 14th in the country in field goals made per game (1.5).
Hills made 24 of his 28-career attempts (.857), including 8-9 from 40-49 yards. His career long was 47 yards, which he made in the final game of his career against Army. His 15 field goals this year ties him for fourth most in school history.
Hills is the 15th Navy player in school history to be selected for the game and the 13th Navy player selected since 1996. It is the third consecutive year Navy has been represented in the game as Terrence Anderson and Travis Williams played in the game in 1999 and Hoot Stahl in 2000. Navy has had two Most Valuable Player's in the game, Napoleon McCallum in 1985 and Chris McCoy in 1997.
