Navy Athletics is committed to continuing to renovate and improve Physical Mission facilities across the Yard to enhance the experience for all student-athlete midshipmen. The current Capital Campaign will include many exciting new Physical Mission projects, including but not limited to, the following facilities. Many of these projects have begun, while others are being developed in the planning stages.
This will ensure Navy Athletics continues to recruit and retain top coaches and student-athletes to the Academy.
Current projects in planning and development include:
Navy Lacrosse Center
The two-story Navy Lacrosse Center will celebrate the history and traditions of Navy lacrosse, while serving as
a testament to the Naval Academy’s commitment to the Physical Mission. Every area and detail are designed
for the development of our midshipmen and will provide the resources for the Navy men’s and women’s lacrosse
programs to compete for and win championships at the highest level.
The Navy Lacrosse Center will have cutting-edge technology and amenities to include athletic training and
rehabilitation spaces, a strength and conditioning facility, a nutrition center and theater. The Center will also include
locker rooms and wardrooms for both the men’s and women’s programs.
Max Bishop Stadium Clubhouse and Terwilliger Brothers Field Renovation
This new clubhouse plays an important role in building and shaping an outstanding experience for our baseball student athletes and coaches. This facility will be vital in developing our current and future Midshipmen by featuring a new locker room, team wardroom, fueling station, and training room.
19th Hole Grill, USNA Golf
The 19th Hole Grill, a brand-new addition to the United States Naval Academy Golf Course, will include a food and
beverage area for NAGA members. Located at the Brigade Sports Complex, it will also have a separate grill room for
hockey, tennis, rugby, and golf participants and their families to use throughout the year.
Rugby Clubhouse
The Rugby Clubhouse will be a first class facility for our Men’s and Women’s Navy Rugby programs and will include new locker rooms, a weight room, and wardrooms for both teams.
Outdoor Aquatics Center
The new Outdoor Aquatics Center will provide additional space to the Brigade of Midshipmen for aquatic training and other Physical Mission requirements. With limited pool space on the Yard, this facility will provide an additional pool option for the entire Academy.
Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium
Naming Opportunities
Blue Side Tower
The Blue Side Tower will be the most prominent feature of Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, the embodiment of
our pursuit of athletic excellence at the Naval Academy. The proposed Blue Side Tower will boast two-stories and will hold
Superintendent functions and special events, hospitality suites, and an enhanced press box.
South End Zone Corner Suites
The South End Zone Corner Suites will be premier hospitality spaces within Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium and will enhance the overall game day experience for our alumni with the addition of fan amenities. The suites will include an upgraded space for the Superintendent to host their home football tailgates and other events.
North End Zone Facility
The proposed North End Zone Facility will be the largest special event space in Anne Arundel County. Appealing to both the
Naval Academy and Annapolis community, this event space will overlook the field of beautiful Navy-Marine Corps Memorial
Stadium and will have the capacity to hold 600+ person events such as reunions, Brigade functions, gameday hospitality, and
other large-scale events. The second deck in the facility will be home to a “Hall of Honor,” recognizing the storied history of Navy Football and other dignitaries affiliated with our history.
