Nine Midshipmen Earn All-Conference Honors in Rifle

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (April 10) - Nine members the Navy rifle team were selected to the All-Mid-Atlantic Rifle Conference Team following their first-place finish in both the smallbore and air rifle championships in the Master Division at the conference championship March 4.

Heading the list are team captain George Adams (Sr./Pearl River, N.Y.) and David Bachta (Jr./Colorado Springs, Colo.). Both were First-Team All-MAC in smallbore and air rifle. William Tolson (Jr./Oak Harbor, Wash) was also named First-Team All-MAC in smallbore. Earning second-team honors in smallbore were Scott Cohick (Sr./Oak Harbor, Wash.), Marta Jung (Fr./Reno, Nev.) and Luke Shank (Jr./Fort Wayne, Ind.). Walter Warren (Jr./San Antonio, Texas) earned an honorable mention to the smallbore team, as well.

James Kauber (So./Burlington, Wash.) joins Adams and Bachta on the first team in air rifle, while Tran Lam (Sr./San Antonio, Texas) joins Jung on the second team in air rifle.
