COMMENTS FROM OFFENSIVE LINE COACH TODD SPENCER
On the progress the offensive line is making-"I tell you what I am really
pleased with the work ethic right now, I think they are really working hard.
They understand we are trying to build a real solid foundation and they are
out their busting concrete. We are playing real hard. At this point I am
probably a little more pleased then I thought I would be."
On surprise players-"I like our centers, Brian Schulz and Shane Todd is a
solid number two guy. I think Travis Peace and Grant Moody are playing
better than they did in the spring. Derek Jaskowiak has made a real good
transition from defense to offense and Derek looks like he is going to be
able to help us as a solid back-up or get himself in the rotation."
On what he wants to accomplish the rest of two-a-days-"During two-a-days I
really want us to just continue to understand Coach Hudspeth's offensive
system. We just had 10 days in pads in the spring, so each day we are
getting a greater understanding of the system.
