Q. You said yesterday that you weren?t getting too excited about Saturday?s win, because you had seen film of the next opponent. What are your thoughts on N.C. State?

A. They are very athletic, they have a lot of guys that can run. They have an All-American quarterback that?s a guy they are touting for the Heisman. It?s going to be a tremendous challenge.

Q. Do you think it will be strange for Buddy (Green) going against N.C. State and can he help you?

A. I think it?s probably strange for him, but we are going to do what we do. I?m sure they feel like they know what he does. The players decide the game. Whoever executes the best, tackles the best, blocks the best, that?s whose going to win.

Q. After breaking down the tape what are some of the things that stuck out to you as far as things that you really need to improve on?

A. Special teams play bordered on being horrendous.

Q. Really

A. Yeah, it was terrible.

Q. You got two fumbles on special teams.

A. Yeah, well one they muffed themselves, it wasn?t anything we did, and the other one was a nice play, but they also had 170 yards in kick return yardage, they ran a punt back that was called back because of a clip. We didn?t cover very well and we kicked the ball terrible. That?s one. We had 20 missed assignments on both sides of the ball, that?s another one. The effort was pretty good. We had 12 efforts (lack of) on offense and four on defense and you shoot for none. There are a lot of things. There wasn?t anything that was just peachy keen.

Q. What was your impression of Rolfs?

A. I thought he did a nice job on the field goals and the extra points, but his kickoffs were horrible. I?d never seen anything like it.
