Rosters Set For 2003 Hula Bowl All-Star Game

ANNAPOLIS, Md.-Navy senior offensive tackle Derek Jaskowiak (Sr./Chesterfield, Mo.) will play for the Kai (which means Ocean) team in the 2003 Hula Bowl, which will take place on Feb. 1 in Maui's War Memorial Stadium. Kickoff is at 9 p.m. EST and will be televised by ESPN.

Jaskowiak's team will be coached by Texas head coach Mack Brown and he will be assisted by former Texas A&M coach R.C. Slocum and Jack Harbaugh, head coach of I-AA National Champion Western Kentucky.

Jaskowiak will be joined on the Kai team by three players that played against Navy during the 2002 season-guard Aaron Burger of Army, defensive end Brandon Green of Rice and center Austin King of Northwestern. The Kai offense will be led by Texas Tech's record setting quarterback Kliff Kingsbury.

The Aina (or land) team appears to be loaded with Brad Banks (Iowa), Ken Dorsey (Miami) and Byron Leftwich (Marshall) at quarterback. Navy opponents playing for Aina include offensive tackle Jordan Black of Notre Dame and defensive end Antonio Garay of Boston College.
