Transcript Of Michael Brimage's Press Conference

Q. What are your thoughts on the compeition at fullback?

A. The compeition is great. We are all sturdy, healthy guys, well all but me I went down with an ankle injury but I?ll be all right. The compeition is good with myself, Kyle (Eckel), Bronston (Carroll), Marvin (Dingle) and we have a young freshman, Matt Hall, who also looks good.

Q. What kind of attitude do you have to have with this situation? Do you come in with the attitude that I want to be the main guy, the only guy, or do you look at it as you?re all going to play some?

A. That?s a hard question. We?re all teammates, yet at the same time we all want to start. The way I look at it is I?m very happy when one of the other guys does well. When Kyle had that long run in the scrimmage, I was really happy to see that. The best man will win the job.

Q. Do you feel though that a lot of guys are going to get an opportunity to play and there just won?t be one guy carrying the load?

A. Oh yeah, I see all four of us playing a lot during the season. We all have different styles. There?s a noticeable difference between Kyle, Bronston and myself.

Q. What did the coaches tell you over the off-season that you needed to get better at?

A. Staying low, staying healthy and I needed to get stronger and faster.
