Transcript Of Paul Johnson's Press Conference

Q. What did you see out of TCU in the Tulane game?

A. They run pretty good (laughter)

Q. Which side of the ball?

A. Both. They were about what I thought. They are a good football team. I knew that.

Q. Tulane did challenge them. It wasn't a complete blowout.

A. I don't know if you could call that a challenge. That game was 31-7 in the fourth and it was over. TCU lost focus, but I don't think anybody actually thought Tulane was going to win. I didn't. Did you?

Q. I didn't see the fourth quarter, I went to sleep, but didn't they move the ball on TCU a little bit?

A. Lets see, they scored on a kickoff return, they scored on a fumble return, they got another fumble on the 30, and they hit a 70-yard pass. Yeah, they moved it on them a little bit I guess.

Q. So what do you tell your team as far as what you can do to move the ball against a defense that is so vaunted?

A. You just do what you do. We have to go execute. I think our guys understand that if we execute correctly that we can move the ball on who ever we play, but you have to make the right reads, you have to go to the right people and do those things. We have to go out and make what we do work.

Q. Any new developments on who the punt returner may be?

A. We are evaluating it. We will take a good hard look at it.
