Navy Football Banquet To Be Held On Friday, Feb. 27

ANNAPOLIS, Md.-The Navy football banquet will be held Friday, Feb. 27 at 6:30 p.m. at Alumni Hall. Tickets are $50 apiece and can be bought at the Navy ticket office in Ricketts Hall or by calling 1-800-US4-NAVY.

Shuttle busses will run from the blue side (press box side) of the football stadium starting at 5:30 p.m. for those fans that wish to attend the banquet that don't have a Department of Defense ID or car sticker.

Navy posted an 8-5 record in 2003 and appeared in the EV1.net Houston Bowl, which was Navy's first bowl appearance since 1996. Victories over Army (34-6) and Air Force 28-25) gave the Midshipmen the Commander-In-Chief's Trophy for the first time since 1981.

The banquet will feature comments from Superintendent Vice Adm. Rodney Rempt, Director of Athletics Chet Gladchuk, head football coach Paul Johnson and team captains Eddie Carthan and Craig Candeto. The 2003 Navy Football highlight video will also be shown.
