Navy Football Season Ticket Sales Reach 13,000

ANNAPOLIS, Md.--The resurgence of Navy Football has brought increased ticket sales for the upcoming 2004 season. Navy's marketing campaign, "Saturdays with Bill" has resulted in a 20 percent increase in season ticket sales over 2003 (from 11,000 to 13,000) with still seven weeks remaining before the season-opener on Sept. 4 against Duke.

The 2004 season ticket package includes six home games at newly-renovated Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium and opportunities to purchase tickets for Navy's neutral site games against Notre Dame at the Meadowlands in New Jersey and the 105th Army-Navy game at Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field. Single game ticket sales have doubled over the 2003 numbers as well.

"The increase in overall ticket sales reflect the support of Coach Paul Johnson and the success of his program," said Director of Athletics Chet Gladchuk. "We are pleased with this support and hope to fill the stadium for all six games this season."

Season and individual game tickets are available for all home games at the Ricketts Hall Box Office, by calling 1-800-US4-NAVY or at www.navysports.com.
