Produced almost entirely by CN8 Sports, the network's distinctive college football schedule enables Comcast Cable subscribers to watch from home the best I-AA teams on the East Coast -- Delaware (#1), Villanova (#4), Harvard, Yale, UMass, Penn, Northeastern, and more. Plus the revitalized Navy football team appears on the schedule twice.
Adding to the excitement is the announcing team that CN8 has assembled for its 2004 college football package - Bill Zimpfer (play-by-play), Bill Osborn (color), and Gregg Murphy (sideline). Zimpfer is a savvy veteran who comes to CN8 after lengthy stints as play-by-play announcer for Penn State football and, more recently, the Miami Dolphins. Osborn, a former wide receiver who spent a year with the Philadelphia Eagles, has been lured to CN8 after ten years as color analyst on University of Pittsburgh radio broadcasts. CN8's Gregg Murphy is a rising star as an anchor/reporter on CN8's sports news staff.
"CN8 is pleased to offer our viewers the unique chance to see competitive games the big national networks don't have time to air," said Jon Gurevitch, Vice President, CN8 Sports. "These are exceptional teams whose matchups are compelling and relevant to the communities we serve from Boston to Baltimore."
CN8's 2004 NCAA football schedule will feature games each Saturday from September 11 through November 27, with doubleheaders on September 11 and September 25.
