Q. Any injuries?
A. Nothing that is serious. There are bumps and bruises like you get every game, but I don't think we are going to have anyone miss this week that played last week.
Q. Do you feel okay with what you have in the secondary? You are young and losing McGown certainly hurts.
A. Any time you lose a player of the stature of a Jeremy McGown it's going to hurt, but we have some players back there that have some ability and I have confidence in them.
Q. As it stands you've now lost all four starters from last year's secondary with Reddick transferring and Jeremy getting hurt.
A. DuJuan played some last year.
Q. What do you know about Kent State?
A. I know that they throw the ball around. They can throw it. I've watched them on tape and they have some good athletes just like everybody does. They have a lot of kids from this area. They have a lot of prep school kids from Hargrave. They have a lot of talented kids.
Q. Ralph (Friedgen) called the Temple game a trap game. Would you call this game a trap game coming off the Air Force win?
A. That's ironic. That's what we talked about today.
Q. You can't look at their record.
A. We can't look past anybody. We're not that kind of football team. We have to get ready to play against everybody or we will get our tail beat.
Q. And you guys are coming off a big emotional victory.
A. Yeah, everybody is patting them on the back and telling them how great they are and they have to put it behind them. The Air Force game is over with. We have to move on.
Q. What do you do to get that accomplished?
A. You just come out to practice and work.
Q. Sometimes on Monday you do some penalty for mistakes or missed assignments. Was there any of that?
A. We did efforts today.
Q. You found some things in the Air Force game?
A. Oh yeah, there are going to be things in every game.
Q. You had said last week that you hadn't quite gotten a gauge on this team, that you hadn't played enough games and you had the long. After Duke and Air Force are you getting a better feel for what this team can and can't do?
A. I thought we played well in the second half on Saturday, but we haven't done it for a whole game. That's what I'm looking for. They've shown glimpses of what they're capable of. We have to be more consistent and put it all together in every facet.
Q. Do you feel like this is a good team?
A. The jury is out. We will see. I think it has the potential to be a good team. Q. You aren't making plans for a bowl game yet?
A. No, I'm not. I'm making plans to try and win game number three this week and that's it.
Q. What do you think when you've won two games and you're .500 and in the two stories today the word bowl cropped up.
A. I didn't see them. I didn't pay any attention.
Q. But that's what you have to keep out of your kids heads.
A. We can't worry about that right now. We've played four games. That's ridiculous.
