P.J. What's up guys?

Q. They don't have days like this in October in Georgia do they?

A. No they don't.

Q. Can you update us on Jeremy McGown?

A. He's practicing. Hopefully he will be able to go. We will try and make an assessment on him tomorrow, but it looks hopeful.

Q. Does it matter where he plays, corner or safety, because of the wrist?

A. I don't care where he plays as long as he can play.

Q. How is Trey Hines doing working back from his injury?

A. He's worked hard. He's still not 100% I don't think, but he's getting better.

Q. What was his injury?

A. He pulled a muscle completely off the bone. He didn't rehab like he needed to this summer and he came back in not very good shape and not ready to play.

Q. That probably didn't look too good that he didn't rehab in the summer.

A. No, it kind of put him behind everybody. He couldn't play. He wasn't as good as some of the other guys and he was still hurt.

Q. Were you expecting good things from him to start the season? It seems like he was supposed to be a good player for you.

A. I knew he didn't work real hard over the summer so I wasn't expecting a whole lot. Trey has a lot of ability. Trey can be about as good as Trey wants to be, but Trey has to want to be good.

Q. Can you assess how your offensive line has played this year? They seem to get lost in the shuffle when people talk about this team.

A. Spotty. At times they have done things well. They are like the rest of the offense, spotty.

Q. Is the reason you haven't been grinding out long drives on them?

A. I don't know. I think that's overblown. What's happened is that we have a little more speed so when we get an opening guys are able to break a tackle and go 40 yards so you aren't going to have as many long drives. Also, the way people have played us defensively has made a difference. Teams have taken chances, fired their corners, blitzed, used stunts, when they do that they are going to get you on some plays, but when you get them it's going to be a big one.

Q. Tyler Tidwell has really played well recently.

A. Tyler plays with a good motor and he made some big plays on Saturday.

Q. The offensive line must be doing something right on the big plays.

A. Yeah, they are no worse or no better than anybody else.

Q. How does it work with the two guys coaching them?

A. It works well I think. Both of those guys (Spencer and Niumatalolo) do a good job and they get along well together. Kenny takes the center and the guards and Todd takes the tackles. It works and gives us a chance to work on different things because they are different positions and they do different things. During practice they can break apart and work on specific fundamentals that each position has to do. You also have two sets of eyes for five guys. That's the one position where if you only have one line coach there are more of those guys than anywhere else on the team. It's hard to have one coach watching five players. If you're the slot back coach you only have two guys to watch, or the receivers coach or whatever. You have five linemen to watch.

Q. Have you been on staffs that have had only one offensive line coach?

A. Yeah, but not in the last few years. Not mine since I've been the head coach.

Q. What is Tyler Tidwell's biggest strength as a football player?

A. His motor. He plays hard.
