Junior Jared Munde had two of Navy's five hits Sunday.

Greenville, N.C. - East Carolina completed its three-game series sweep of Navy Sunday by defeating the Mids, 14-0, in the finale at Clark-LeClair Stadium in Greenville, N.C.

The Pirates, who outhit Navy 19-5, improved to 11-4 while Navy dropped its fifth straight contest to fall to 3-8-1.

East Carolina, who scored in six of the eight innings it stepped to the plate, used three runs in the first, two in the second and four in the third to grab an early advantage and never look back. Billy Richardson and Drew Costanzo homered for the Pirates in the first frame and Harrison Eldridge smacked a two-run homer in the second. Richardson homered, stroked a single, double and triple to hit for the cycle.

Jared Munde (Rolling Hills Estates, Calif.) had two of Navy's hits - including a double -- while Mitch Harris (Mt. Holly, N.C.), Ryan McGinn (Arvada, Colo.) and Lewis Hobbs (Wilmington, N.C.) each collected a hit.

Pirates starting pitcher Jeff Ostrander earned the win by scattering two hits over five innings and striking out seven.

Navy will conclude its spring break trip with a pair of games in the Duke Tournament Tuesday and Wednesday in Durham, N.C. The Midshipmen will face Yale at 4:30 p.m., Tuesday and then face the Blue Devils Wednesday at 1 p.m.
