ANNAPOLIS, Md.-The record setting 2004 Navy football team will visit the White House on Wednesday, April 20 for a 4:20 p.m. ceremony with President George W. Bush. The team will be honored for winning the Commander-In-Chief's Trophy for the second-consecutive year.
Navy was victorious over Air Force (24-21) and Army (34-6) to win the CIC trophy outright two-straight years for the first time since 1978-79 and for just the second time in school history.
The Mids finished the year with a school-record tying 10 wins, marking the first time in 99 years that Navy has won 10 football games in a season. The Naval Academy capped off the remarkable season with a 34-19 Emerald Bowl victory over New Mexico.
