COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Four members of the Navy rifle team competed recently in the United States National Junior Olympics, held at the Olympic Training Center. Three of them finished in the top 40 of the 50-meter three-position competition, highlighted by freshman Josh Albright's (Shelton, Conn.) third-place showing.

"I'm really proud of the way all of them shot," said Navy head coach Bill Kelley. "Josh performed really well over the weekend."

Albright captured third place with a score of 2389.3 in the 50-meter three-position competition. Albright was tied for fourth after the first round with an 1142, but responded with an 1151 to jump into third place. In the final round, his score of 96.3 was the second-best score, behind the champion's, Joseph Hall, 100.7.
