Polanco To Be Honored By National Quarterback Club

Washington, DC - The Quarterback Club has announced that its 20th
anniversary National Quarterback Club Awards Dinner will be held in
Washington, DC on Wednesday, June 29th and honor many of the top names in
football, including Peyton Manning, Darrell Green and Billy Kilmer.* Rich
Eisen of the NFL Network, will be master of ceremonies for the black-tie
gala, which benefits The Greater Washington Sports Alliance.* The dinner
will be held at the Capital Hilton Hotel and tickets can be purchased by

Legendary Washington Redskins quarterback Billy Kilmer will be the recipient
of the National Quarterback Club Hall of Fame Award, while Indianapolis
Colts quarterback Peyton Manning will be honored as the NFL
Quarterback-of-the-Year and former Redskin Darrell Green will receive the
lifetime achievement award.

The National Quarterback Club will also honor Aaron Polanco (US Naval
Academy) with the Military Quarterback-of-the-Year Award; LSU recruit Ryan
Perriloux (East St. John HS/New Orleans, La.), recipient of the National
High School Quarterback-of-the-Year Award; Virginia Tech University recruit*
Ike Whitaker (Northwest High School/ Germantown, Md.), recipient of the
Local High School Quarterback-of-the-Year Award; Atlanta Falcons running
back Warrick Dunn, recipient of the Humanitarian Award for his outstanding
commitment to the community; and University of Maryland sideline reporter
Tim Strachan with the inaugural Pat Tillman Courage Award.

Nat LaCour of the American Federation of Teachers will be the 2005 NQBC
Awards Dinner Chairman.* The dinner will also feature the introduction of
The Sammy, a custom-made statue of Washington Redskins legendary quarterback
Sammy Baugh, which will be presented to each award winner.* Presenters for
the dinner include Sonny Jurgensen, Aaron Brooks of the New Orleans Saints
and Johnny Holliday.

Past National Quarterback Club Award winners include Roger Staubach, Archie
Manning, Brett Favre, John Elway, Rich Gannon, Steve Young, Carson Palmer
and Chris Leak. The dinner has been held in Washington, DC the past two
years and previously help in Houston (2002), Minneapolis (2001), Denver
(1999), Green Bay (1997-1998), Charlotte (1996), Jacksonville (1994-1995),
Tampa Bay (1993) and Miami (1992).

The Quarterback Club, a non-profit organization based in Rockville, MD, was
founded by Robert J. Geoghan in 1965 as a social sports organization
specifically hosting the Washington Redskins luncheons during the football
season.* In celebration of its 20th anniversary, he created The National
Quarterback Club and The National Quarterback Hall of Fame. Top quarterbacks
from the professional, collegiate and high school ranks as well as inductees
into The National Quarterback Hall of Fame have been honored at the National
Quarterback Club Awards Dinner.* In addition, Quarterback Club Charities,
