Navy Ranked 77th By Sports Illustrated

ANNAPOLIS, Md.-Sports Illustrated ranks Navy 77th in the country entering the 2005 campaign. Only three schools on Navy's schedule rank ahead of the Midshipmen-Notre Dame (44), Maryland (47) and Stanford (74). The Mids were ranked ahead of Tulane (79), Kent State (84), Air Force (95), Rutgers (96), Duke (98), Army (102), Rice (103) and Temple (104).

The Mids open up the 2005 campaign on Sept. 3 against Maryland in a 6 p.m. contest at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore. Tickets are still on sale at the Naval Academy Box Office in Ricketts Hall, on the web at www.navysports.com, or by calling 1-800-US4-NAVY.
