ANNAPOLIS, Md.-The Navy football team finished 30th in the country in both the Associated Press and USA Today final polls released this morning.

The Mids defeated Colorado State, 51-30, to win the Poinsettia Bowl to finish 8-4 on the year. The win marked the first time in school history that Navy has appeared in and won bowl games in back-to-back years. The Mids won their final three games by a combined score of 131-70.

Navy head coach Paul Johnson led the Midshipmen to a third-straight Commander-In-Chief's Trophy for the first time in school history, a fourth-straight shellacking of Army (Navy has outscored the Black Knights 176-54 over the past four seasons) and a third-consecutive season with eight wins or more, which is just the third time in school history and the first since 1908 that Navy has won eight or more games three-straight years.
