ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Junior Tucker George (West Hartford, Conn.) defeated freshman Nils Mattsson (Spring House, Pa.) in three games, 9-4, 9-3, 9-6, to win the U.S.S. Barb Squash Racquets Perpetual Trophy. It's the third-consecutive year George has won the tournament becoming one of only four players in program history to achieve the feat and the first since Andy McCann (2000-01-02).

The week-long competition pits the Navy squash players against one another in a round robin competition which then sets up an elimination tournament. The tournament results determine Navy's starting lineup to begin the season which is slated to officially begin Nov. 3-4 in San Francisco, Calif. The Mids are coming off a 14-1 exhibition victory over the Maryland Club over the weekend.
