BOSTON, Mass. -- The Navy rifle team continued its improvement as it shot a season-high score of 4600 to easily defeat MIT (4367), Wentworth (4128) and Massachusetts Maritime Academy (3832). The Mids improve to 4-2 overall with the wins.
"We improved significantly today. We showed good improvement in air rifle and had very good depth today," said Navy head coach Bill Kelley. "If I would have picked the right team, we would have had a much higher score. But we will take it. It was a good outing. We aren't where we need to be, but its getting better."
Navy shot a 2321 in air rifle, led by Sarah Bergman's 587. Lisa Kunzelman fired a 582, Josh Albright compiled a 577 and Monica Amagna shot a 575. Two other shooters, Alex Karacsonyi and Chris Schneider shot a 586 and 584, respectively.

"Chris Schneider had a very good day today," said Kelley. "He really stepped up his performance today."
