ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - Jon Simon, Alvin Reed and Kendall Chones each topped 20 points, and Colgate rallied to beat Navy 80-72 on Saturday.
Simon led the way with a career-high 25 points, making 6 of 10 from the field and 9 of 12 free-throw attempts. Reed scored 22 points, and Chones had 21 for the Raiders (10-18, 4-10 Patriot League), who secured a sixth-place finish in the league.
Colgate, whose 80 points were a season high, has won eight of nine over Navy.
Greg Sprink had 24 points and 11 rebounds for the Midshipmen (10-17, 3-11), who finished seventh in the league.
Navy led 41-38 at halftime, but went just 2-for-13 from the field to start the second half. Colgate scored the first six points of the half to take the lead.
Navy went back on top, 49-48 with 13:40 to play, but the Midshipmen then went six minutes without scoring, allowing Colgate to take a 60-49 lead with 7:47 remaining. After that, the Midshipmen never got closer than six points.
Kaleo Kina added 16 points for Navy. Matt Fannin had 12, and Corey Johnson scored 11.
Colgate shot 58.3 percent from the field in the second half and held the Midshipmen to just 34.5 percent. In the first half, Navy shot 50 percent.
