ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - Jose Olivero scored 18 points and Lehigh shot 74 percent in the second half as the Mountain Hawks defeated Navy, 74-49, Wednesday night.

Lehigh led just 31-26 at the half, but outscored Navy 18-4 to start the second half and led by 54-33 with 11 minutes to play. While Lehigh (15-9, 8-1) was making 15 of its first 19 shots in the second half, Navy (9-13, 2-7) made only one of its first 11 shots. Lehigh wound up shooting 59.2 percent for the game.

Navy shot 23.5 percent (8 for 34) for the second half and 30 percent for the game. Backing up Olivero, the Patriot League's leading scorer, were Joe Knight with 14 points, Kyle Neptune with 13 points and John Gourlay with a career-high 9 points. Mitch Gilfillan had seven assists and Olivero six assists as the Mountain Hawks had 22 assists for 29 baskets. They also were 10 of 16 on three-point attempts, with Olivero hitting four of five.

Matt Fannin led Navy with 12 points, but failed to score in the second half. The Mids' next highest scorer was Adam Teague with 7 points. Navy's leading scorer for the season, Greg Sprink, was held to two points, 13 below his average.

Navy scored the first five points of the game and led 17-13 midway through the first half, before Lehigh went on a 12-0 tear to take the lead for good. The Mountain Hawks extended the run to 18-5 to go ahead 31-22 with 55 seconds left in the half. Navy went nearly six minutes without a basket during that stretch.
