REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. - California defeated Navy in a pair of heavyweight crew races Saturday at the Windermere Collegiate Classic in Redwood Shores, Calif.

Unofficially, the Bears posted a 14-second margin of victory in the varsity race and a nine-second win in the second varsity race.

The two Navy entries were slated to race against Oregon State late Saturday, then the Mids will conclude the two-day regatta Sunday with a varsity race against British Columbia and a second varsity race against Santa Clara.
