Brigham Named to Men's Basketball Academic Honor Roll

July 10, 2006

ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Rising sophomore Bryce Brigham (Bellevue, Wash.) was Navy's lone representative on the Patriot League Men's Basketball Academic Honor Roll, the league office announced last week. In all, 17 student-athletes were named to the squad. American led the way with six honorees, while Bucknell had four and Colgate garnered three spots. Army, Holy Cross, Lehigh and Navy all had one representative each.

Brigham, an economics major, posted a 3.22 GPA during his first year at Navy and was one of just four freshmen on the squad. On the court, Brigham was one of Navy's top long-range threats, connecting on 37.7 percent of his three-point attempts (26-of-69). For the season, he averaged 3.9 ppg, 1.3 rpg and dished out 17 assists. He tallied a career-high 13 points on five-of-six shooting in a loss at Holy Cross on Feb. 15.

Brigham will be one of seven returning letterwinners for head coach Billy Lange next season.
