ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The Navy rifle team recorded a strong air rifle performance, boosting the Mids to an easy win over the University of the Sciences, 4568-4101. Navy fired a 2254 in the smallbore, but regrouped for a 2314 in the air rifle discipline.

Senior Josh Albright led the Mids in the smallbore, who outscored USP, 2254-1995 in the discipline. Albright shot a 572 to garner medalist honors. Junior Lisa Kunzelman added a 565, freshman Chris Burleson scored a 562 in his first collegiate action and Luke Marion rounded out Navy's scoring with a 555.

Navy outscored USP, 2314-2106, in the air rifle, and was paced by Kunzelman's 587. Junior Alex Karacsonyi fired a 580, Albright added a 574 and Christina Schade contributed a 573.

The Mids will now take three weeks off, next battling MIT and Wentworth on Oct. 27, in Cambridge, Mass.
