PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. -- Anchored by team captain David Miller (Chillicothe, Ohio), the Navy golf team placed 12th out of 15 teams at the NSU Shark Invitational held at the Haig Course at PGA National Tuesday afternoon. After heavy rains and wind gusts caused Monday's second round of play to be canceled, Navy returned to the links on Tuesday where it turned in a 22-over par 310 in the final round for a 36-hole mark of 48-over par 624.

The Mids trailed Eckerd College and Rutgers by seven strokes heading into the final round, but were unable to move up in the standings as Rutgers (307-305--612) was 17-over in the final round while Eckerd College (307-311--618) fell in at 23-over.
