CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- The Navy rifle team defeated MIT and Wentworth in a triangular on Saturday in Cambridge, Mass. The Mids recorded an overall score of 4598 to defeat MIT (4449) and Wentworth (4237). The wins improve Navy to 10-0 overall.

"It wasn't a bad day, but we obviously have to shoot better," said Navy head coach Bill Kelley. "We have a lot of work to do before the President's Trophy in two weeks."

The counting smallbore team of Chris Burleson, Lisa Kunzelman, Kenan Wang and Alex Karacsonyi totaled a 2271, led by Burleson's 577, good for medalist honors.

The air rifle team consisted of Kunzelman, Burleson, Karacsonyi and Alison Lankes and totaled a 2327. Kunzelman garnered medalist accolades with a 586.

Navy will head to Colorado Springs, Colo., on Nov. 8 for the President's Trophy and will shoot against Army, Air Force and Coast Guard.
