ANNAPOLIS, Md.-Navy junior linebacker Clint Sovie (Jacksonville, Fla.) is one of 66 players on the watch list for the 2008 Butkus Award, which is awarded to the nation's top linebacker.
Sovie is coming off a 2007 campaign that saw him play in just two games before suffering a season-ending injury to his left ankle. In 2006, Sovie recorded 61 tackles, picked off two passes and broke up four pass attempts in 13 contests.
