ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Winners of three straight games entering tonight's contest with George Washington, the Navy men's soccer team is ranked 10th in the NSCAA Middle Atlantic regional rankings, the organization announced today.

Navy is one of five Patriot League teams ranked in the regional rankings, but may be the hottest squad. Navy has won a Patriot-League best three straight games after opening the season 0-1-1. All three of Navy's wins have come in overtime by players scoring their first career goals. Since the start of last year, Navy is 10-2-2 against non-conference foes and during the last seven non-conference games away from Annapolis, the Mids are 7-0-0. During its recent three-game winning streak, Navy is outscoring its opponents, 6-3, and has a GAA of 0.85 during that span.

Saint Louis University is ranked first in the region, and is followed by Charlotte (2nd), Colgate (3rd), Duquesne (4th), Bucknell (5th), Holy Cross (6th), Dayton (7th), Lehigh (8th), Massachusetts (9th) and Navy (10th). Three other Navy opponents, St. Francis - New York (4th), Longwood (9th) and Mount St. Mary's (10th) are ranked in the Northeast region. Navy and St. Francis (N.Y.) tied, 0-0, on Aug. 29, in Annapolis.

Navy hosts George Washington tonight at 7:00 pm at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility in Annapolis. Tickets can be purchased at the gate for just $2.
