COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Navy's Tara Chapmon (Jr., Virginia Beach, Va.) will not compete in Saturday's 1,650 freestyle event at the NCAA Swimming Championship in College Station, Texas.

"Tara tried stretching and warming up today, but she just couldn't get as loose as she needed to in order to compete in the event," said Navy head coach John Morrison.

Chapmon, the 2008 and '09 Patriot League Women's Swimmer of the Year, previously competed in the 200 and 500 freestyle events over the opening two days of the championship.
