Navy's Game at Towson Postponed

April 14, 2009

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Navy's baseball game scheduled at Towson for Tuesday afternoon has been postponed due to rain. No make-up date has been announced.

The Midshipmen (13-20-1, 6-6 Patriot League) will return home to host first-place Bucknell (15-19, 7-5 Patriot League) in a key four-game series this weekend at Terwilliger Brothers Field at Max Bishop Stadium. The two teams will square off in 12 noon doubleheaders on both Saturday and Sunday.

Sunday's first game will be televised live on CBS College Sports Network, as Tom Hart and former MLB player Kevin Stocker will call the action. Sunday's second game will have live audio provided through Navy All-Access, as Pete Medhurst and Joe Miller will deliver the call. Sunday is also "Take the Family to a Game," as families can purchase four hot dogs and four drinks for just $10.

On Saturday, the first 250 fans in attendance will receive a Navy Baseball water bottle. In addition, there will be a "Meet the Mids" autograph session in between games and the first 150 kids will receive a free t-shirt. Also, members of the "Billy the Kid Club" will enjoy free Chick-Fil-A food and other activities.
