ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Navy football, golf, women's soccer, men's soccer and volleyball teams will all be in action on Saturday and fans will have the ability to follow each of these events live.
The football team (1-2) will host Western Kentucky (0-3) in the 50th anniversary of Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium at 3:30 p.m. in front of a national television audience on CBS College Sports. For fans that cannot make it to the game or in front of a television, they can also watch online through Navy's All-Access package, listen to the game on the Navy Radio Network and Sirius Satellite Radio, follow live stats via GameTracker and receive updates through the official Navy Athletics Twitter page or by simply refreshing this page.
The golf team will host Army in the first of two Star Matches on Saturday at 8 a.m. on the USNA Golf Course, as the men's soccer team (4-3-0) looks to claim the N-Star against Army (1-6-0) in an 8 p.m. contest at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility. The women's soccer team (8-1-1) will take on Monmouth (4-3-0) up in the Garden State at 11 a.m., while the volleyball team (3-11, 0-1) travels to Easton, Pa., to face Patriot League foe Lafayette (7-4, 0-1).
For fans unable to make it to those events, there are ways to still follow them live. There will be periodic updates on the Navy Athletics Twitter page for golf and both soccer events, while live stats will be available for volleyball and both soccer matches.

• Navy and Western Kentucky are meeting on the gridiron for the first time on Saturday.
• The Midshipmen head into Saturday's tilt with a 1-2 record on the year after a 27-14 loss at preseason Big East favorite Pittsburgh. Navy owns a 19-6 (.760) record following a loss since the 2003 season.
• Western Kentucky comes to Annapolis in search of its first win of the season. The Hilltoppers have lost to Tennessee (63-7), South Florida (35-17) and to Central Arkansas (28-7).
• The 1959 Navy Football team will be honored at halftime as part of the 50th Anniversary Celebration at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. That squad played the first game at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium 50 years to the day of Saturday's game against Western Kentucky. Navy defeated William & Mary, 29-2, on Sept. 26, 1959.
• Navy will be wearing replica 1959 uniforms to celebrate the occasion. Beginning at 7 p.m. tonight, the game-worn replica 1959 jerseys will be auctioned off , until Oct. 8 at 7 p.m.

• This year's one-day event will be played at the Naval Academy Golf Course and will feature a 36-hole Ryder Cup-style match. The competition will begin at 8 a.m. with four 4-ball matches, followed by seven singles matches. The first team to reach six points will be declared the winner.
• Navy enters the competition owning a commanding 41-29-1 advantage over the Black Knights in the annual dual match which was first played in 1939 at Sherwood Forest. The Midshipmen have won three-straight Star Matches and nine of the last 11.
• Among the 71 previously-played duals, 44 have utilized the Ryder Cup format, including each of the last seven. The Mids have won 16 of the 20 Ryder Cup-style duals played in Annapolis and own an 8-4 overall record in match play under Owen's guidance.
• Last year's Army-Navy match may have been the most exciting series history, as Navy's Ryan Wielgus (Bethesda, Md.) sank a 15-foot putt for birdie on the first playoff hole to lead the Midshipmen to a sudden death victory (5.5 - 5.5) over the Black Knights.

• The Mids have won three-straight matches and at 8-1-1 overall, have equaled the third-best start in school history. By virtue of its two weekend wins, Navy moved up three spots into a tie with Dayton (4-0-4) at No. 5 in this week's NSCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional rankings.
• Monmouth enters Saturday's contest with a 4-3-0 record. After opening the year with back-to-back losses, the Hawks have reeled off shutout wins in four of their last five matches.
• Navy is unbeaten in its last 10 true road games (9-0-1) and in each of its last 11 contests held outside of Annapolis (includes neutral-site contest with Dayton earlier this season). The Mids' longest road unbeaten streak of 15 games (11-0-4), began in 2001 and extended into the 2003 season.
• Navy has shutout six of its 10 opponents this season and leads the Patriot League (and ranks fifth in the Mid-Atlantic region) with a 0.68 team goals-against average this season.

• Navy fell in four sets against Lehigh on Friday evening to begin Patriot League play. The Midshipmen won the opening set and had leads in the second and third sets, but the Mountain Hawks rallied on their home court.
• Lafayette began the year with a 7-3 record in pre-league play before falling to American in three sets in its Patriot League opener last evening in Easton, Pa.
• The Mids and the Leopards split their two matches a year ago with the home team winning each contest in four sets.

• The Navy men's soccer team (4-3-0) kicks off Patriot League play on Saturday night by hosting rival Army (1-6-0) at 8:00 pm at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility. The Mids are looking to snap a two-game skid overall, as well as a three-game losing streak to Army. All three of Navy's losses to Army over the last three years have come by one goal, including two in overtime.
• This will be the 76th meeting between the two teams, with Navy owning a 35-27-13 advantage. However, Army owns a three-game winning streak in the series, the Black Knights' longest winning streak in the series since winning four in a row from 1950-53. Navy is 22-9-4 at home against Army, and since Navy joined the Patriot League in 1991, the Mids are 7-2-1.
• The top three, and four of the top six attendance marks, at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility have come against Army, including a school-record 1,751 fans for the 2001 contest.
• Navy has matched last year's win total (4 in 18 games) and last year's goal total (11 in 18 games) in just seven games this year. Nine different players have scored Navy's 11 goals this season. Eight of the goals have come from freshmen or sophomores.
