ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The 13th-ranked Navy squash team pitched a pair of shutouts over Fordham and Denison Friday evening at the Halsey Field House International Squash Courts to improve to 6-0 on the season, winning all six by way of sweeps.

Playing without their injured captain Brad Seidel (Toledo, Ohio), the Midshipmen looked to the other senior members - Allan Lutz (McLean, Va.), Aidan Crofton (Laverock, Pa.) and Tommy McNamara (New York, N.Y) - for leadership in what is Navy's second weekend of competition. Lutz carved his way through the competition with back-to-back shutouts, including a hard-fought 11-5, 11-6, 11-9 victory over Denison's Martin Prentice in the nightcap. Lutz is now 78-26 over his four seasons, needing just two wins to become only the fourth player under head coach Craig Dawson's watch to reach the 80-win milestone.

Sophomore John Richey (West Hartford, Conn. gave up one point in each of his three games against Fordham's Eli Plangger, while cruising past Denison's Henry Robb. Meanwhile, Richey's classmate Hunter Bouchard (Greenville, Del.) improved to 5-0 on the year with a pair of wins.

Crofton nearly held his Denison foe, Jessica Demakos, scoreless en route to an 11-0, 11-0, 11-3 win in the evening's final match. Earlier in the evening, he surrendered just three points in an 11-1, 11-1, 11-1 win over Fordham's Chirs Souther.

Rookie Emile Toscano (Chapel Hill, N.C.) added to his winning streak by way of an 11-0, 11-2, 11-1 win over Fordham's Andrew Craig at the No. 9 slot.

Finally, McNamara continues to be the most successful Navy player in terms of winning percentage under Dawson's direction. With a pair of wins on Friday, he has now won 43 of his 53 matches over the last four seasons for an 81.1 winning percentage.
