ANNAPOLIS, Md.--The 2009 Navy football banquet, which will take place Friday night at Alumni Hall, is sold out. The banquet starts at 6:30 p.m. with cocktails in the Bo Coppedge Room and on the mezzanine level of Alumni Hall. Dinner will be served at 7:15 p.m. in the main arena. If you do not have a Department of Defense sticker to drive on to Academy grounds you can take the free shuttle bus from the press box side of Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. There is a $5 charge to park at the stadium.

The 2009 football season was a season to remember for the Midshipmen, tying a school record for wins with 10, winning a school-record seventh-consecutive Commander-In-Chief's Trophy, appearing in a school-record seventh-consecutive bowl game and running its winning streak against the other two Service Academies to an amazing 15-straight.

Included among Navy's 10 wins was a 16-13 overtime victory over Air Force, a 23-21 victory over 19th-ranked Notre Dame in South Bend, a 17-3 win over Army and a 35-13 thrashing of Missouri in the Texas Bowl.

The senior class finished with a 35-18 career record, which is tied for the second most wins by a class in school history, and became the first class since the Class of 1964 to beat Notre Dame twice in their careers.
