Navy's Ben Nicholas (So., Bothell, Wash.) placed 32nd on the day with a preliminary round score of 217.80 points.
"Olaf did a great job today," said Navy head coach Joe Suriano. "He was a little short on two of his dives, but otherwise he had a very good day.
"Ben had a tough first day, but we are looking for him to bounce back with a better showing on the one meter."

The zone competition, which determines the field for the upcoming NCAA Championship, will continue Saturday with the one meter and Sunday with the platform event.
