ANNAPOLIS, Md.-Navy athletics had another successful campaign in 2009-10 both on the field of play and in the classroom. Navy compiled an overall record of 294-173-2 (.629), had 14 All-Americans, 13 conference athletes of the year, seven conference coaches of the year, seven teams won conference championships and 11 different teams took home national honors.
In the classroom, Navy athletics ranked second in the country in graduation rates among schools in the football bowl subdivision, produced eight Academic All-Americans, had five Patriot League Scholar Athletes of the Year and 176 student-athletes made the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
Navy defeated Army in the Star series for the 14th-consecutive year (11-10) and won the overall series for the 17th time in the last 18 years (16-13).

National Team Honors (12)
Ranked second in the country among Football Bowl Subdivision schools with a graduation rate of 98 percent.
Football finished 26th in the USA Today/Coaches Poll and 28th in the Associated Press Poll. The Mids were Texas Bowl Champions.
Water polo finished the season ranked 15th in the Collegiate Water Polo Association Top 20.
Rifle team finished eighth at the NCAA Championship.
Men's Swimming team finished 32nd at the NCAA Championship
Wrestling team placed 46th at the NCAA Championship.
Intercollegiate Sailing matched its finish from a year ago at the ICSA Coed Dinghy Nationals with a seventh-place finish. It marks the second straight year Navy finished in the top 10.
Intercollegiate sailing finished sixth at the ICSA Team Race Nationals, its best result in over a decade at the event.
Intercollegiate sailing qualified for the ICSA Women's National Semifinals, but no semifinal races were contested due to weather.
Men's Tennis advanced to the NCAA Championship for a fourth straight year.
Women's lacrosse advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history. The Mids finished the year ranked 19th in the country.
Lightweight crew finished second at the IRA National Championship.
