ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- After dropping matches at Nos. 1 and 2 doubles, the Navy men's tennis team tallied seven singles victories over St. Bonaventure Saturday morning at the Navy Invitational in Annapolis.

Navy's lone doubles victory came at the No. 3 flight where the tandem of Jeremy New (Sr., Glen Allen, Va.) and Marcus Rebersak (Jr., Pittsburgh, Pa.) posted a 9-7 win over Luis Guevara and Oscar Yanez.

Both New and Rebersak then went on to record victories in the singles portion of the tournament. New won a 6-1, 1-6, 1-0 (15-13) decision over Mikhail Sudakov at No. 3 singles, while Rebesak posted a 6-3, 6-2 win over Enric Larregola at No. 2 singles.

Additional singles wins were tallied by Navy's Owen Bullard (Sr., Concord, N.C.) at No. 1, Zach Nicholson (Jr., Bowie, Md.) at No. 4, Nicholas Gutsche (So., Sarasota, Fla.) at No. 5, Matt Richmond (So., Kalamazoo, Mich.) at No. 6 and Eddie Konrad (Jr., The Woodlands, Texas) at No. 7.

The Navy Invitational will conclude Sunday with St. Bonaventure facing Niagara at 9 a.m. and the Mids playing host to Temple at 2 p.m.

Weather permitting, the matches will be played outdoors on the USNA grounds. However, should poor weather force the matches to be played indoors they will instead be contested at the nearby Tose Family Tennis Center.
