ANNAPOLIS, Md. - For the third consecutive week, Navy cross country senior Andrew Hanko was named Patriot League Runner of the Week, it was announced by the conference office on Monday. In Saturday's Roy Griak Invitational, which featured seven of the top-30 teams in the nation, Hanko placed ninth out of 213 participants with a time of 24:27.0.

Hanko has placed in the top 10 in all three meets in which he has competed this season. In his first appearance of the season, Hanko took second out of 193 runners at the Harry Groves Invitational and then won the individual title at the Navy Invitational the next weekend.

In his last 10 meets, dating back to last season, Hanko has placed in the top 10 on six occasions, and has been in the top 15 in all but one race.

He now has a total of eight Patriot League Runner of the Week awards in his career, which is the most by any cross country student-athlete in conference history.

Hanko and Mids will travel to Bethlehem, Pa., for the Paul Short Invitational on Friday.
