ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Navy women's tennis team picked up its school-record 14th win of the season on Tuesday as it defeated Stonehill College, 6-3, in its final match of its spring break trip in Orlando. The Mids also lost to Coastal Carolina, 6-1, in the day's first match.
The win moves Navy's overall record to 14-9 as it enters the teeth of its Patriot League slate next week, surpassing the school record of 13 victories it set last year.
Navy dropped a 6-1 decision to a strong Coastal Carolina squad on Tuesday morning. The Mids fell in all three doubles matches with their lone win coming from Stefanie Ton (So. / Milpitas, Calif.) at No. 3 singles with a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Caitlyn Brooksbank. The victory was Ton's 10th of the 2010-11 season, improving her overall record to 10-13 and career record to 23-20.

Navy then cruised past Stonehill College, 6-3, using mostly its reserves.
The Mids won two-of-three doubles matches, with wins coming at Nos. 1 and 3. Brittney Boucher (Sr. / San Antonio, Texas) and Darien Sears (Fr. / Silver Spring, Md.) were victorious at No. 1 doubles with an 8-3 victory to improve to 9-11 overall in the 2010-11 campaign. Haley Adams (Fr. / Woodstock, Ga.) and Dye Das (So. / Cherry Hill, N.J.) ran their doubles record to 5-1 overall with an 8-5 triumph at No. 3 doubles.
Navy then won four-of-six singles matches to complete the victory. Boucher won at No. 1 singles with a 6-4, 6-3, victory to run her record to 13-7 overall and 8-3 in dual meets. Das won a 6-1, 6-2, decision at No. 2 singles for her 10th win of the season.
After a Stonehill victory at No. 3, Natalie Houle (So. / The Woodlands, Texas) claimed a 6-2, 6-2, triumph at No. 4 singles. Caitlin Olsen (Fr. / Los Gatos, Calif.) then posted a 6-1, 6-7 (7-9), 1-0 (12-10) win at No. 5 singles to run her dual-meet record to 4-1 on the year.
Navy will compete twice on Wednesday, March 23, traveling to Loyola (Md.) and hosting Morgan State with both matches coming at 3:00 pm.
