The Navy baseball team will complete its season series with Georgetown on Wednesday night when the two teams meet at 7 p.m. at Shirley Povich Field in Rockville, Md. Navy has won six of its last eight games and enters Wednesday's contest with a 26-17-1 overall record.

Midweek Quick Hitters
• After taking three of four games from Holy Cross, Navy is tied for first place with Army for the top spot in the Patriot League at 10-6 ... Navy's 26 wins and .602 winning percentage are the best in the conference.
• Navy is 6-2 in its last eight games and has allowed three or fewer earned runs in five of those eight contests.
• The Mids are 22-3 when holding opponents to five or fewer runs and 14-2 when scoring in the first inning.
• Joel Rinehart picked up his fifth save of the season on Sunday and now has eight for his career, which slots him in a tie for third place on Navy's all-time saves list.
• The Navy pitching staff enters Wednesday with an ERA of 5.38 and with 302 strikeouts through 44 games, the Mids currently have the sixth-most Ks in program history and most since the 2009 team had 321.
• The Mids' 73 doubles are 12th most in program history and their 21 triples are tied for the sixth-highest single season total.
• Freshman Brandon Beans led Navy at the plate last week as he hit .474 (9-for-19) in the Mids' five games ... Beans had four doubles and drove in five runs while slugging .684.
• Greg Dupell and Jeff Bland both led Navy with six RBIs a piece in the four-game series at Holy Cross.

They Hoyas are 19-22 overall entering their game on Tuesday at George Mason ... This past weekend, Georgetown dropped three-game set to Connecticut ... As a team, the Hoyas are hitting .274 and are led by four players all hitting over .300 in Mike Garza (.329), Rand Ravnaas (.329), Erik Fernandez (.323) and Sean Lamont (.318) ... The pitching staff has an ERA of 4.39 with a total of 222 strikeouts and 143 walks.

The Last Meeting: Navy 9, Georgetown 2
Navy snapped a six-game losing streak to Georgetown as it defeated the Hoyas, 9-2, on April 6 in Annapolis ... The Midshipmen got a solid outing from starting pitcher Zach Sipe, who allowed just one earned run off three hits in four complete innings, before a trio of Navy pitchers held the Hoyas scoreless over the final five innings ... Brandon Beans (2-for-4), Alex Azor (3-for-4) and Greg Dupell (2-for-4) all recorded two RBIs.
