Baseball Plays Host to Delaware State on Wednesday

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Navy baseball team will look to pick up its 30th win of the season on Wednesday when it hosts Delaware State at 4 p.m. at Max Bishop Stadium. Wednesday's game will mark the final regular-season contest for Navy, as it will host Bucknell in the semifinals of the Patriot League Tournament this weekend.

Midweek Quick Hitters
• Freshman Kash Manzelli was named Patriot League Rookie of the Week on Monday ... Manzelli went 2-for-4 and recorded a Navy season-high five RBIs in Sunday's 14-3 win over UMES ... Manzelli is the fourth Midshipman to earn Rookie of the Week honors this season, joining Taylor Cato (March 21), Preston Gainey (April 12) and Brandon Beans (April 26).
• Navy has had one of the top pitching staffs in the conference this season and currently leads the Patriot League in both team ERA (5.29) and opponent batting average (.289).
• At 29-20-1 on the season, one more win would give Navy its eighth 30-win season in the program's 116 year history ... The Mids have won at least 30 games in four of the past five seasons.
• Wes Olson is now 6-1 on the year after picking up his sixth win of the season on Sunday ... Olson, who has an ERA of 2.49 in 16 appearances, is the first Midshipman to win six games in a season since Oliver Drake went 6-3 in 2008.
• With 46 RBIs, Dave Milanes ranks third in the Patriot League, while Greg Dupell's 34 RBIs rank seventh.
• With 66 hits on the season, Alex Azor continues to lead the Patriot League.
• Sophomore starting pitcher Ben Nelson has ranked near the top of conference in several categories this season, currently the right-hander leads the Patriot League in innings pitched (67.0) and games started (13), and ranks second in strikeouts (59).
• With their victory on Sunday, the Mids improved to 25-4 this season when holding opponents to five runs or fewer.

Delaware State is 23-24 overall and 2-3 in its last five games ... The Hornets dropped a three-game set at Bethune-Cookman last weekend ... As a team, Delaware State is hitting .300, led by junior Scott Davis, who has a batting average of .439 ... Sophomore Ryan Haas leads DSU in RBIs with 48 and is hitting .375 ...
