CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -- The Patriot League Championship schedule has been set for the 2011-12 season, with both the Men's and Women's Basketball Tournaments changing dates for multiple rounds.
As a school, Navy won seven of the Patriot League's 22 sponsored championship events last fall, while Navy competing in 19 of them. Navy won Patriot League championships in men's cross country, women's basketball, men's swimming and diving, men's and women's indoor track and field, women's lacrosse and baseball.
The Men's Basketball Tournament is slated to begin Wednesday, Feb. 29 with the quarterfinal round. The semifinals are set for Saturday, March 3, and the championship game will take place Wednesday, March 7 at 7 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.
The Women's Basketball Tournament gets underway with the quarterfinals Thursday, March 1, while the semifinals are set for Monday, March 5. CBS Sports Network will televise the championship game Saturday, March 10 at 6 p.m.
For the first time ever CBS Sports Network will televise both the Patriot League Men's and Women's Basketball title games. CBS Sports Network will broadcast other basketball contests involving League teams throughout the season, with that schedule being announced at a later date.

The first of 22 Patriot League championship tournaments or events will take place Oct. 29 when Lehigh University hosts the men's and women's cross country championships on its Goodman Campus in Bethlehem, Pa. The field hockey champion will be crowned the next weekend when the tournament takes place Friday-Saturday, Nov. 4-5. The women's soccer tournament will happen at almost the same time, with the semifinals taking place that Friday while the championship match will be contested Sunday, Nov. 6. The fall championship season continues with the men's soccer tournament taking place Friday and Sunday, Nov. 11 and 13, and the volleyball championship on Saturday-Sunday, Nov. 19-20. For the men's soccer page click here, while the volleyball championship page is here.
As usual, the team that finishes at the top of the regular-season standings in men's and women's soccer, field hockey and volleyball will host the four-team tournament at their campus.
In addition to men's and women's basketball, four more League champions will be decided during the winter. The men's swimming and diving championships will hail from Navy's Lejeune Hall in Annapolis, Md., Thursday-Saturday, Feb. 16-18, while Bucknell will serve as host of the men's and women's indoor track and field championships Friday-Sunday, Feb. 17-19.
More championships will be determined in the spring, including women's tennis at Lehigh (April 20-22), rowing at the Cooper River in Cherry Hill, N.J. (April 22), men's tennis at Navy (April 27-29), golf at Bucknell (April 28-29) and men's and women's outdoor track and field at Holy Cross (May 4-5). Tournaments will be held at the top seeds to determine League champions in men's lacrosse (April 27 and 29), women's lacrosse (April 27 and 29), softball (May 10-12) and baseball (May 12-13 and 19-20), where the top two seeds host the semifinal weekend and the top remaining seed hosts the championship.
Championship pages for winter and spring sports will be available later this fall.
Patriot League champions in team sports, as well as golf and tennis, will earn automatic bids to the respective NCAA Tournaments, while individuals in swimming and diving, cross country and track and field will have the opportunity to compete for national titles by surpassing various individual qualification marks.
