ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- NavySports.com recently sat down with Navy sophomore midfielder Guy Skord to find out more about the men's soccer player from Annapolis, Md. Skord was a member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll last fall, his favorite food is Rita's Italian Ice and he chose Navy because of the opportunities that the Academy provides.

The Navy men's soccer team opens its 2011 season on Friday, Aug. 26 with an 8:00 pm match a VCU and on Sunday, Aug. 28 at Old Dominion. The home opener will be the following Thursday (Sept. 1) against Fairleigh Dickinson beginning at 7:00 pm at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility.
