ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Navy men's soccer team (6-3-2, 3-0-0 PL), winners of five straight games, will play at Lafayette (3-2-6, 1-2-0 PL) on Wednesday at 7:00 PM at Oaks Stadium in a Patriot League matchup. Live statistics and free live video will be available for this game. The Navy-Lafayette contest was originally slated for October 5 but was rescheduled due to the government shutdown.

With nine points, Navy is currently tied for second place in the Patriot League standings with Holy Cross (3-1) and the team is three points behind first-place Army (4-0). However, Navy has played one fewer game than Army and would move into a tie for first place with a win on Wednesday.

Navy has not allowed a goal during its five-game winning streak and it scoreless streak is 450:00 minutes. The streak began with wins at George Washington (3-0) and Virginia Tech (2-0) and has continued through the start of conference play with wins over Boston U. (1-0), American (1-0) and Colgate (3-0).

Navy's most recent game was the victory over Colgate on Saturday. Senior defenseman Nick Dubee (Carolina, R.I.), junior defenseman Joseph Greenspan (Westfield, N.J.) and sophomore forward Jamie Dubyoski (Catonsville, Md.) scored the goals and senior goalkeeper Gavin Snyder (Severna Park, Md.) notched his fifth win of the season.

Greenspan also scored the game-winning goal against American last Wednesday and was named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com National Team of the Week earlier on Tuesday.

The Mids, who are ranked No. 8 in this week's NSCAA Mid-Atlantic Region Poll, are off to a 3-0 start in Patriot League play for the first time since joining the league in 1991.

Dubyoski leads the team with 15 points on seven goals and one assist and Greenspan is second with four goals and eight points. Snyder is 5-0-0 with a 0.00 goals-against average.

Lafayette (3-2-6, 1-2-0 PL) is coming off a 1-0 loss at Holy Cross on Saturday. The Leopards have also lost to Colgate, 1-0, and defeated Lehigh, 1-0, in conference play. The Leopards went 2-0-6 in non-conference games before Patriot League play began, with four of their six ties being 0-0 deadlocks.

Peter Adubato leads the Leopards with nine points on four goals and one assist and Alec Golini is second with four points (one goal, two assists). Goalkeeper Nathan McDonald is 3-2-6 with a 0.56 goals-against average, five shutouts and a .854 save percentage.

Navy holds a slim 17-16-4 edge in the all-time series against Lafayette and won the 2012 meeting, 4-2. In that game, Greenspan tallied a hat trick and then-freshman Derek Vogel (Long Beach, Calif.) also scored for Navy, with Snyder getting the win in net.

Lafayette went on to win 2012 Patriot League Tournament over American, before falling to Virginia, 1-0, in the NCAA Tournament.

Navy will next play at Bucknell (7-3-1, 2-1-1 PL) on Saturday at 7:00 PM.
