ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Navy offshore sailing team hosted and competed in the John F. Kennedy Memorial Regatta for the Kennedy Cup, ICSA's Big Boat National Championship this past weekend.

The seven-race series started Friday and ended early Sunday afternoon.

Led by senior skipper Josh Forgacs, Navy won the first race in wild conditions on Friday but suffered from inconsistency both Saturday and Sunday to finish the event in fourth place out of the ten competing teams.

College of Charleston won with Queens University in second and California Maritime Academy placing third.

The regatta concludes Navy's fall competition schedule.
