Dec. 5, 2014

Junior quarterback Keenan Reynolds ran for 119 yards and three touchdowns on just 10 carries in Navy's 42-40 victory over South Alabama. With the win, Navy became bowl eligible for the 11th time in the last 12 years and are headed to the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl. Reynolds, who averaged 11.9 yards per carry, scored on a 67-yard TD run in the second quarter to pull Navy to within 17-14 and his one-yard TD run with 1:46 remaining in the second put Navy up 35-20. That was also the 60th touchdown of his career, setting the NCAA record for rushing touchdowns by a quarterback in a career. His third touchdown, a one-yard run, with 8:22 remaining provided the final margin in Navy's 42-40 win. It was also the 12th game in his career that Reynolds has run for three or more touchdowns in a game, which is an NCAA record by a player at any position.
