HAVERFORD, Pa. - Seniors Andrew McGuinness (Merion Station, Pa.) and Jim Kacergis (Malvern, Pa.) won a pair of historic matches to lead the No. 14 Navy squash team (17-5) to back-to-back 9-0 victories over 44th-ranked Haverford and 30th-ranked Bucknell on Saturday just outside of Philadelphia.

Both McGuinness and Kacergis captured their 70th collegiate victories with wins on Saturday, making them just the ninth and 10th players in head coach Craig Dawson's 15-year tenure to win 70 or more matches. McGuinness picked up 3-0 sweeps to improve to 71-39 over his four seasons, while Kacergis needed four games to push past Bucknell's Tyler Edwards en route to his 14th victory this season and 70th of his career (70-36). The next milestone on the horizon is 75 wins which just six players have achieved.

Meanwhile, classmate Colin Barry (St. Louis, Mo.) is just two wins shy of also accomplishing the feat as he scored a pair of wins on Saturday to push his career mark to 68-25. He has enjoyed a sensational senior campaign that has seen him win 17 of his 19 matches.

Sophomore Randy Beck (Lafayette Hill, Pa.) remains atop the Navy leader board with 18 wins, including a 6-2 mark since pushing up to the No. 5 position.

Returning to the lineup on Saturday was junior Bill Kacergis (Malvern, Pa.) who had been sidelined the last few weeks with a quad injury. Kacergis fell in at the No. 6 position where he looked solid in a pair of 3-0 victories.

Also posting 2-0 marks on Saturday were freshman Josh Hughes (Malvern, Pa.) at No. 2, sophomores Reed Whitney (Ladue, Mo.) and Will Walker (Scarborough, N.Y.) at No. 7 and 8, respectively, and senior John Hsu (Jackson Heights, N.Y.) at No. 9.

The Mids will conclude their weekend of play in the Philly area when they face 12th-ranked Drexel on Sunday beginning at 1:00 pm
