Navy Ranked 20th In The Latest College Football Playoff Rankings

The Navy Midshipmen are ranked 20th in the latest College Football Playoff Rankings released by ESPN and the College Football Playoff Committee. The Mids are one of four American Athletic Conference teams ranked in the Top 25 and the highest ranked team among the Group of Five.
Navy (7-1), coming off a 45-20 win over Memphis (8-1) on Saturday night at the Liberty Bowl, is off to its best start since 2004. The Mids only loss this year came at Notre Dame, which was ranked fourth this week by the committee.
American Athletic Conference members Memphis (#21), Temple (#22) and Houston (#24) are all ranked in the Top 25. The highest ranked Group of Five conference champion will receive a bid to either the Peach (Dec. 31) or Fiesta Bowl (Jan. 1).
Navy plays host to SMU (1-8, 0-5 in the American) on Saturday at 3:30 PM on Senior Day at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. Tickets will also be available on the day of the game at the ticket windows located in the North end zone.
